As you see from the photograph below the Hotel overlooks the River
Thames from where you can travel by boat to other famous landmarks such as the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, St Paul’s Cathedral and the O2 complex (the dome built for the UK`s mil-
lennium celebrations).
From the rear aspect, St Katherine’s Dock, 181 years since it’s opening as a busy industrial site, is now a haven of tranquillity. The Marina now houses up to 200 luxury yachts and several historic 19th century barges and has numerous shops and restaurants.
Last but not least our international speakers are booked: Sir Richard Bowlby, Dr Suzanne Zee- dyk, Dr. Karl Heinz Brisch, Sue Gerhardt, Sally Goddard Blythe and Koichi Nagayama together
with one of our trainers Sylvie, who will be our opening speaker. What line up, all eminent pro- fessionals and speakers – a conference NOT TO BE MISSED.
Translation service? If you are French, Spanish or Italian speaking, and need a translator, we
encourage you to book before 1st April 2010, especially if you require this service.
This information is needed by this date both to ascertain numbers needing the service for each
language but more importantly after this date this service cannot be guaranteed.
Early Bird Date: 1st April is also important – to guarantee an early bird booking rate. Please visit
www.iaim.org.uk/events where more detailed information is available including the booking
form in Spanish, French and Italian.
IAIM General Assembly, October 11-12th 2010
The Educational Conference is followed by our two day General Assembly that will be full of lively discussion and is where important international decisions are voted on together with the election for the international board for 2010/12.
All CIMIs are welcome and are encour- aged to attend, as we all, collectively take responsibility for the organic growth of our association. But we hope the most important and enduring experience will be the friendships made, the inter-national networking opportunities seized and the heartfelt transformation of a global community working together, making it a reality.
This biennial event in London, promises to be exciting dynamic event that we hope will serve as a springboard in the furtherance of Vimala`s vision and the passion of us all that every baby will receive positive nurturing touch as a fundamental human right and will experience the lifelong benefits that come from early bonds that are loving, healthy and secure.
But of course for all these plans to unfold and grow like the petals of our flower and to make this a truly international event we need you.
So if you have ever planned to visit London, now is the time to make those plans a reality.
A word about the Conference delegate rate, London is an expensive city and to make this event as accessible as possible for all CIMIs from around the world – for the first time there are two dis- tinctive rates to take account of traveling costs. So for CIMIs outside of UK and Europe there is a reduced “rest of the world” rate. For CIMIs who live in Europe do take advantage of the early bird booking rate before 1st April.
Please note the educational conference delegate rates are inclusive of all refreshments and
lunches, so easier to budget as no hidden extras.
The General Assembly is free although a small charge will be required for the provision of
lunches. Please visit www.iaim.org.uk/events where more detailed information is available including the booking form in Spanish, French and Italian.
The UK Chapter would like to put on record the support received from the Internationa Board and together, we look forward to welcoming friends old and new from around the world.

President UK Chapter.
